Towne Center at Haddon is part of a nationwide drive toward smart growth. To counter suburban sprawl, smart growth restores community and vitality to cities and older suburbs. New smart growth is transit and pedestrian oriented, with a select mix of housing, commercial and retail uses.

Smart growth encourages the trend toward neighborhood transit villages. Transit villages are compact, mixed-use, walkable communities, easily accessible to public transportation, that invite residents, workers and shoppers to drive less and ride mass transit more. Towne Center at Haddon is close to the Westmont PATCO station, offering a pedestrian-friendly environment where retail and business can thrive alongside an upscale residential community.

Fieldstone Associates L.P. is committed to maintaining an open and balanced discussion on the project. As plans for Towne Center at Haddon are finalized, additional public forums will be held to address Township residents’ concerns.

Towne Center at Haddon has been recognized by the Delaware Valley Smart Growth Alliance as a prime example of a contemporary transit village site. The Delaware Valley Smart Growth Alliance (DVSGA), a non-profit collaboration of more than 100 government, private sector and non-profit organizations in the tri-state region.
